MANUFACTURING FACILITY TOURS

TOUR OF FOUR PRODUCTION FACILITIES

Welcome to a unique journey into the core of industrial ingenuity. Nestled on the Sunshine Coast, on the non-beach side of the Sunshine Motorway, lies a dynamic cluster of composite manufacturing companies. These pioneers are reshaping the world of automation and leveraging the power of technological networks. As part of our conference delegate package, we invite you to an exclusive tour of four state-of-the-art production facilities on day two of the event. Scroll down for details on ONE Composites, ZONE RV, Cure Marine and Link Composites.

ONE Composites: Where precision, efficiency and production unite

First, step into the world of One Composites. Here, you’ll experience the marvel of 3D scanning technology, programmed for crafting composite plugs and moulds with unprecedented speed. Witness the VSF composite printer – a marvel combining five-axis milling and three-axis printing. Its expansive single-bridge gantry, equipped with the advanced Siemens SINUMERIK ONE CNC systems, demonstrates unparalleled capabilities. Observe the unique vacuum pellet drying and conveying system, enabling impressive printing rates, closed mould manufacturing, robotic trimming and CNC material cutting by a powerful MRP system. The facility also showcases five-axis orbital sanding, complete with a built-in tool rack, part probing, and print head calibration unit.

Zone RV: Redefining luxury and durability

Next, Zone RV welcomes you to its world of luxury off-road caravans. From a 2015 start-up to a team of over 230, Zone RV stands as one of the Sunshine Coast’s fastest-growing entities. Discover its revolutionary frameless, fully bonded, timber-free caravan designs, combining lightweight strength with aesthetic appeal. Tour the purpose-built facility and see how these modern, apartment-style caravans are crafted to conquer challenging terrains.

Cure Marine: Mastering the art of marine craftsmanship

Finally, Cure Marine opens its boat shed doors behind which its seasoned team will guide you through the intricate process of creating their flagship vessels – the ‘Cure Marine ‘Custom 70’ and the ‘Custom 50’. These catamarans, a masterpiece of carbon fibre and epoxy resin-infused technology, are the epitome of high-performance ocean sailing design.

Link Composites: Enabling fabrication and construction with Advanced Composites

Continuing the journey within the Coolum Eco-Industrial Park is a look-in at the Link Composites facility and its advanced hot melt adhesive line. This tour segment provides a comprehensive view into the processes and innovations in manufacturing insulated fibreglass composite sandwich panels, fixing systems, and precision cutting for modern construction and manufacturing recreational vehicles, commercial & residential construction, transport, and marine infrastructure.
Join us for this immersive and enlightening experience, offering a rare glimpse into the forefront of manufacturing innovation on the Sunshine Coast.
