Tim will present his research on end of life cured composites that have been mechanically recycling into a ‘filler’ for use as an additive to virgin materials. He will outline the findings of tests on a polyester resin to which ground fibreglass filler has been added, its curing kinetics, permeation, fibre bond and ultimate tensile and mechanical properties. Also the influence and optimum weight percentage and particle size of the ground fibreglass filler once it has been introduced into a thermoset GFRC under production conditions.
