Research to Production: Composite Manufacturing for Future Aircraft Programs
Australia is recognised as home to one of the world’s leading centres for the manufacture of advanced composite structures using Australian-developed resin infusion technologies, producing critical control surfaces for the 787 Dreamliner and other aerospace applications.
Drawing on this Australian-developed composites manufacturing capability, Phil Crothers will examine how these proven manufacturing and engineering foundations have enabled Boeing’s research teams to extend resin infusion and automation technologies into the design and production of advanced autonomous systems and next-generation aircraft platforms.
