Industry-driven research on complex composite technologies

Director Allan Manalo will present an overview of CFM’s research activities, including the iLAuNCH project- manufacturing twins for composite repair, material circular economies, thermoelectric materials, and composites for future-proofing Australian infrastructure. Additionally, he will discuss the centre’s new capabilities in clean energy and artificial intelligence.

Technology brief: University of Southern Queensland’s Centre for Future Materials research activities

Dr Shelley, will present an overview of CFM’s advanced capabilities in composite materials research and industry collaboration. Specialising in sectors such as aerospace, space, defence, mining, and construction, CFM focuses on practical applications of advanced composite manufacturing, functional materials, and civil composites. Tristan will highlight the Centre’s active partnerships with industry, cutting-edge R&D in automated manufacturing, product design, and structural analysis, as well as the extensive testing services offered by CFM.
